Fly-Forward Assessment

Asset management is not just about what has happened to the asset in its life from introduction into service until the current day. If, for example, a platform is due to be utilised in an operational deployment, then prediction of the requirements for spares during the deployment will inform the logistics process and assist in ensuring the optimum logistic footprint required to support the deployed activities. This scenario can be extended to cover any required period, e.g. when a platform’s useful life comes under consideration for extension.

LSC Group’s RAMS (Repairable Asset Management System) enables the life usage of the platform to be advanced to cover the likely life consumption during the period in question, and the maintenance activities required during that period noted. From this the spares requirements can be derived. If required, the costs of the deployment scheduled maintenance activities, including manpower resources, can also be calculated. This is only possible due to the engineering capabilities of the Asset Management Solutions team.
