Cost of Ownership Assessment

The Cost of Ownership is widely used as an indicator of how cost effective an asset is in use. To assist in this, reliability and basic cost of maintenance, enables identification of the maintenance drivers and determine basic scrap vs. repair assessments. The cost of scheduled maintenance activities and usage data can be used to assess operational costs and establish recommendations for savings.

LSC Group’s Repairable Asset Management System (RAMS) provides extensive capability for assessing cost of ownership. It has enabled the Aircraft Support Integrated Project Team at RAF Wyton to carry out extensive cost of ownership appraisals for their entire Ground Support Equipment population with substantial savings being made. From a proposal perspective this data is invaluable in the preparation of pricing volumes.
