Enterprise Content Management

The use of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) provides a key enabling technology in managing and delivering information via a NHS intranet, Internet or extranet presence.

ECM enables the creation, approval and management of content for publishing to various delivery channels (e.g. Web, intranet, PDA, paper etc) whilst ensuring brand consistency across the various channels.

The development of ECM has empowered users by devolving the creation and approval process into the organisation, providing easy to use tools (including the use of standard desktop applications) to create content without the need for technical skills.

In addition, ECM includes inherent security and workflow to ensure governance of information with the relevant approvals via workflow prior to publishing.

The ECM solutions we provide include tools to migrate existing content and designs and accessibility checkers to ensure published content conforms to key accessibility standards (e.g. DDA and WAI).

LSC Group is experienced in the configuration and implementation of ECM and, in conjunction with our software partners, has developed NHS-specific applications to accelerate the implementation of Internet and intranet solutions suitable for the NHS.
