LSC Group Aiming for ISO 20000 Certification
08/05/2009

As part of our continuing programme to improve quality both internally and to our customers, LSC Group is aiming for ISO 20000:2005 certification.

Based on the best practice foundation of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3, ISO 20000 introduces a service culture and provides the methodologies to deliver services that meet defined business requirements and priorities in a manageable way. At present only about 50 UK organisations meet the stringent requirements for certification.

In late 2008 we started building on our current ITIL framework to implement the IT Service Management System procedures required to meet ISO 20000. We are will initially aiming for certification later this year with a scope covering the Collaborative Working Environment (CWE) services managed from our Keynsham site. This will be incrementally widened to cover all of our IT services, including CWE services at RAF Wyton and NHS 24.
