LSC Group scoop the Best Business Award for Corporate Social Responsibility

LSC Group has been awarded the prestigious Best Business Award for the category of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), beating off fierce competition of 72 entries in the quarterly round and 15 entrants in the CSR category.

The award honoured the innovative approach the company has taken to its corporate social responsibility. LSC Group launched an integrated campaign, ‘’Let’s put all our energy into SSAFA’’ combining its charitable and environmental initiatives.  The campaign, launched at the beginning of the year, is one example of the many socially responsible initiatives the company has implemented. 

The innovative campaign is specifically designed to encourage staff to reduce gas and electricity consumption to raise money for their corporate charity - Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA). 

Commenting on LSC Group's Best Business Award for Best Corporate Social Responsibility, Andrew Areoff, Chairman of the Judges said: "The judges are particularly impressed with the way LSC have integrated CSR in to the culture of the business. Not only are LSC raising money for charity but at the same time reducing energy usage for the good of the wider environment. Their innovative approach has already proved itself and served as an incentive for staff to build on their impressive achievements. Their genuine comment to helping individuals and the environment with a two pronged approach should serve as a positive example to other businesses."

The reward demonstrates LSC group’s commitment to the environment and community, and shows that responsible business practices can make a real difference to people at a local and national level.
