Transformation Diagnostics

To maximise value from a consulting engagement, upfront planning and understanding of the current situation is critical. Rather than assuming an issue is fully understood, there is often significant value in carrying out a diagnostic phase.

The basis of LSC Group's diagnostic approach is to complete a Gap Analysis, focussing on three levels of activity: Governance & Assurance, Logistic Support, and Commercial Arrangements. Stakeholder mapping and related techniques are used to identify and capture all the key players involved in the delivery support of the project. The outputs of this phase highlight areas for improvement in a constructive and non-judgmental way. This approach signposts potential solutions and assists in planning.

Our experience has recently been called upon by the UK Ministry of Defence to assist the Specialist Utility Vehicles Integrated Project Team with understanding the challenges associated with the transformation of new equipment and capability procured under Urgent Operational Requirements into business as usual logistics and support. This project is ongoing and currently expanding as a result of the tangible benefits that the MoD has seen from using LSC Group.
